Flower Childe Charity sale!

~Flower Childe~

Hello Darlings! You can call me Flower. That's not my real name, of course, that's my professional name. A girl has to protect her mystique.

Now you must be asking yourself, 'why is she selling herself on the internet?' My manager told me that I'd have to learn to sell myself to make it in the industry, and I thought 'If you're going to do something, why not do it in style?' Of course, they all tell me I'm mad, and that this is not how things are done if you want to go big time...but it's for charity, Darling!

There are many reasons one might sell herself... fame, fortune... and yes, I would like all those things, who wouldn't? But for now, I am satisfied to sell myself for a good cause. After the escrow service take their cut, 100% of the proceeds from my sale will go to Foster Parrots. I just love the little animals, Darling, and our feathered friends have far fewer options available to them when they are spurned by cruel society than the puppies and kitties.

But my space is limited, Darling, so let me tell you a bit about myself: I was once a simple Pullip. I was as the factory made me, identical to so many countless sisters and generally... a little boring. My face was shiny, my hair was frizzy, and my body... well practically right out of the box it was falling apart, Darling! Can you imagine my embarassment?

Fortunately fate was kind to me and I met a makeover professional. She is brilliant, you would never guess what kind of girl I was before, I am so changed!

  • My hair was replaced with high quality synthetic mohair. It's like silk, and it styles so easily! Do not worry about my curls, if they get mussed a stroke or two with the brush puts them in perfect order. You can tease my hair with your fingers to lovely fullness, or smooth it back, all without the use of any products.
  • My eyes were replaced with specially painted blythe chips, sanded down for a snug fit. Instead of pure black, my pupils are the darkest green. Sitting next to any other girls I do not look unusual, but it does give them a bit of extra sparkle.
  • My body was replaced with a soft torso obitsu in medium size. Not only this, but all of the screws inside my body were tightened, making my body support my head much better than most obitsus. Floppiness is for squares, Darling, not for me!
  • My makeup was carefully removed and my face matted. After this, completely new features and makeup were applied, and my lovely mod flower was airbrushed over my eye in homage to the great Twiggy. It is airbrushed using three shades of transparent paint for a smooth, flawless finish that does not obscure my eyelashes or eyebrow beneath. My eyelids were also airbrushed to match.
  • My hands were manicured in a lovely pink to match my lips.
  • All of my makeup and nails were then sealed for strength. Painted makeup like my lips, brows, nails and flower were first sealed with water-resistant brush on sealant, and then everything was set with lovely matte spray sealant.
  • My eyelashes were replaced with soft brown lashes to beter compliment my coloring.
  • My earrings are pierced through my ears, Darling, not through the head like so many other girls. If perhaps you find a set you think I'll like, it is as easy to change my earrings as changing your own!

I love anything mod-styled. Do not be concerned about me finding things to wear; anyone in the fashion industry can tell you that old is new. You will be surprised by how many wonderful retro designs can be found in stores, or better yet in thrift. I look good in everythig, Darling! Blues and greens offset my eyes, reds, oranges, and yellows match my flower, and pinks and purples coordnate my lips. But just in case, I will be coming with three store-bought dresses in addition to my custom made outfit, you can see them in my photos.

I prefer to go home with someone who likes to take pictures of me. I love the camera, and the camera loves me, Darling! I am very photogenic. You don't need to worry about me any more than any other pullip, my girl does good work and it is not easily undone by a change of wardrobe or photoshoot.

If you have any other questions or would like to make an offer, you can email my girl. Ciao, Darling!

What happened to the auction? Short story, ebay sucks, long story... ebay sucks. I was pretty sure I had fully complied with all of their charity auction requirements, but they cancelled the auction with less than 2 hours to go because I did not have a scanned official letterhead letter from Foster Parrots. Still haven't found that particular requirment myself, and I've emailed them about it. But since ebay was probably going to be getting around $40-50 of the finished auction value, forget 'em.
