Commentary:
High-heeled shoes are the saving of vertically challenged women everywhere.
The turning of Belladonna from a hesitant minion to an adversary. Why? Because that sort of thing is how Obsidian amuses herself. There was going to be more to this story arc, with Obsidian bribing her with a 'mini bike' and other various items to a) make friends with her and b) get her to cause all kinds of problems for Nightshade. Subversion, diversion, sabotage. This story line never really played out in the pic fics, but it did 'happen'.
The title of this fic is based on the song by Aretha Franklin, which plays in my head every time I read it.
