Marius: ...and that's all that has happened up to now.
Valentine: Wow, that's really tough. So what are you going to do about it?
Marius: Um... I don't know. I was coming to ask Ms. Nero, but... well you heard.

Marius: I lost my job with Interpol, but it doesn't mean I'm not going to keep trying to stop her. Even if she wasn't stalking me. If I get enough evidence to get her tried in any of the countries she's killed her husbands in, even if she's not convicted, it would at least slow her down.
Valentine: So that's still the most important thing to you? Stopping her? Not just getting away?

Marius: Eh... well... that would be nice, but if I had a choice of disappearing somewhere and starting over or getting her to stop killing people... I guess I'm just a masochist like that.

Marius: It's not like I have a life outside of work anyway.

Valentine: Sooo... if you had a way to stop Obsidian, you'd do it? Even if it didn't mean putting her in jail or something like that?
Marius: Of course. Whatever works.

Valentine: And what if it took a lot of work--a LOT of work. Like, daily dedication and commitment?

Marius: That sounds like the last few years of my life even before she decided to start stalking me. Come on, you obviously have an idea, what is it?

Valentine: Um... I don't think you'd like it.
Marius: I'm not in a position to be picky.
Valentine: Well... she does only kill her husbands, right? So what if you managed to get her to marry someone she couldn't? Someone who could keep an eye on her and keep her out of trouble? And if she did start to fall into her old ways, they'd be in the perfect position to get that evidence you're looking for.

Valentine: ...Someone like... you?

Marius: NO! People don't just change! She's a black widow! A criminal!

Valentine: Yeah, well, according to you she only kills rich perverts with lolita complexes. You're almost out of funds from all the running you've been doing, and you don't seem like a pervert to me. Either she's changing, or you don't know everything about her like you think you do.

Marius: *sigh* Well... thanks for your time. And the cookies.
