Ash: I really appreciate you coming back from Japan just for this. It's just, you're the only one who seems to have any kind of control over the goblin.
Obsidian: It's not a problem. My husband died, so there was nothing holding me there.
Saturn: I'm sorry.
Obsidian: Not a problem dear. Happens all the time.
Saturn:...oh.
Obsidian: Anyway, what you need to understand is that however much a problem Belladonna and her friends are for you, they'd be at least as much of a problem for Nightshade.
Saturn: That may be true of the mini-valentine and Nightshade's duplicate, but Beressa is very dangerous. Even shrunken, she will still pose a threat.
Obsidian: Not if handled properly. While I was in Japan, I had some of these 1/3 scale dolls made. They're jointed, and they look just like us.
Ash: So we use them as lures? Stuff them with explosives, or put tracking devices in them?
Obsidian: You're still thinking like you want to get rid of them. Wouldn't it be better to control them? I just happen to be related to a genius scientist that could animate the dolls using her android technology.
Ash: You know you're my favorite cousin, right? I think it's time I started playing with dolls. Lets go to the lab.

Penny: I had a wonnnnderful time tonight.
Ravish: Me too.
Penny: Would you like to come inside for... coffee?
Ravish: I'd love to Penny, but Miss Valentine told me you've been feeling depressed lately.
Penny: What?
Ravish: I don't want to go too fast and take advantage of you, because then you might hate me for it afterwards, and I like you too much to risk that.
Penny: Oh. I understand. Goodnight then?
Ravish: Aagh! Why didn't I go inside? If Miss Ash finds out I'll be in all kinds of trouble! And if I screw this up and Miss Penny thinks I'm not interested in her I'll lose my payment! Why did this have to happen to me?
Ravish: If I do the job I won't have to worry about money ever again. But if I do the job then Miss Valentine will never consider me because I was her friend's boyfriend and she's a honest, loyal girl. The only chance I have is to do the job without ever really becoming involved with Miss Penny. But Miss Penny isn't going to lose interest in me if she never gets anywhere, that'll only make her more interested.
Ravish: Of course, Miss Valentine is so sweet and good that she's never consider a guy like me anyway if she ever found out that I dated someone for money... or all the other things I've done for money... So it's not like I'd ever have a chance anyway.
Ravish: I'm so doomed.
