Sewing Room

Sooner or later you'll probably want to try your hand at sewing. Sewing for dolls is quite a bit harder than sewing for people. It's on a much smaller scale, so something normally easy, like turning a sleeve after you've sewn it, can become very difficult. Also, sizes have to be more precise. If you err on a shirt and make it a centimeter smaller or larger, chances are you won't notice. It won't really matter. On a doll, a centimeter either way can mean a good fit, a bad fit, or it not fitting at all.

Still interested? Good. While it is more difficult, it is lots of fun and very rewarding to get that outfit you want, but can't find anywhere else. Doll clothing is pretty limited in what you can buy pre-made. So here's some resources:

  • Pattern Book Reviews: This is a list of pattern books that will fit Pullips, what's in them, and a synopsis of how clear and easy to use they are
  • Making a Pullip Bag: This is the pattern and directions for making a compact bag that can safely carry multiple pullips in secure compartments as well as a camera, clothes changes, or anything else you'd keep in your purse.
  • Pattern Library: My patterns, with instructions in English.
