I like to do fundraisers for my favorite charity, Foster Parrots. Foster Parrots is a bird rescue which takes in and adopts out birds, as well as providing permanent shelter for birds that have been abused or neglected to the point where they have health or psychological problems that make them unsuitable for adoption. Most animal shelters are not well equipped when it comes to birds, and because they are such attention-intensive and long-lived animals, they are really in need of services like Foster Parrots provides.
This summer I auctioned off a custom doll, but this winter I'll be holding a raffle for an open-ended commission for a My Little Pony custom. 100% of the proceeds from this raffle will be sent to Foster Parrots.
Raffle tickets are $5 each. If you win, this ticket covers all expenses, including international shipping!

To purchase a raffle ticket, paypal payments can be sent to gwenniemew@gmail.com, with the subject line '2008 MLP fundraiser'. You can purchase more than one ticket, and if you want to purchase a ticket on behalf of a friend, just put their email address in the payment notes along with how many of the ticket(s) you purchased are for them.
The raffle winner will be chosen by my parrot. Each ticket will be printed out with the email address of the person it is for, put into a bow, mixed up, and given to my parrot. Whoever has the ticket he tries to eat first wins. This will be videotaped and uploaded when the contest ends.
Raffle tickets can be purchased from 11/22/2008 to 12/31/2008. The drawing will take place on the following Saturday, 1/3/2009.
