Basics are patterns designed to be extra friendly to beginner sewers!  If you're kind of intimidated by sewing, or looking to introduce a kid in your life to sewing, this is the pattern for you (easy, fast, and forgiving).  You won't out-grow this pattern though: it's still full of wardrobe essentials that will be useful no matter how experienced you get!

Patterns included:Tank top with round, square, and V neck, plain or ruffled bottom, leggings
Supplies needed: 1/4 yard fabric or less, thread/sewing supplies
Difficulty: This is an easy pattern that most beginners should be fine with.  You can also check out the 'Tutorials' section for free resources on sewing and sizing.

As always, her instructions are easy to follow and simple to print out!
These sewed up fast and easy.

Top- though her pattern didn't call for a lining on the top, I gave it one and it still fit beautifully! Plus saved me from hemming.

Leggings- It could be an error on my part, but the waist was a little big, I will try them again with some tussue paper to prevent stretching. They fit wonderfully everywhere else!

I have now tried quite a few of her patterns and have LOVED each and every one! And have not had any issues with any of them. They always fit perfectly and are so darned cute when finished!

Awesome, love it, making it for a doll that is bigger than barbie but skinnier, and with a slightly bigger but. I love this doll, but she is making me crazy with the pattern adjustments. I think I can make this one for her without too much insanity.
