Shirring and smocking are techniques to beautifully gather otherwise loose clothing to fit snugly at certain points, and is impossible to do in miniature. That is, impossible to do the same way you'd do it for people! This pattern re-invents the technique for miniature sewing and shows you how to do it in this cute pattern--with lots of pictures to help you along the way.

This is one of my favorite patterns for dolls. It is easy to size up to fit another doll body type. This has helped me so much and it is also easy to adjust the length I have made this dress into shirts before for some projects.
